The strong current from the Sunda strait feed the coral reefs with rich nutrients and attract the pelagic fish and sea mamals during a particular period of time.\u00a0The diving is varying from muck diving around the area of Lampung Bay to \u201cBeautifully challenging\u2019 drift diving. In the north western Sunda Straits is the Krakatau Islands, comprises 4 islands: Sibuku, Sebesi, Sanghyang, and Lagundi Island. \nPramuka (\u201cScout\u201d) Island is the capital of the Regency of Kepulauan Seribu. Pramuka Island contains a settlement that includes schools, a mosque, a hospital, a port, fish auctioning center, and lodging for travelers.\u00a0This Park forms a hatching site for Hawksbill Sea Turtle, and Green Sea Turtle. The Hawksbill Turtle is an endangered species and is rarely found in other waters. These Turtles are bred on Pramuka Island. This activity is aimed at recovering the Turtle population, which had almost reached extinction. Breeding activities include egg hatching in a semi-natural way and caring for the baby Turtles till they are ready to be released into their natural habitat. Besides Turtle, you will find many interesting underwater habitat which you will love to visit over and over again. This island is a must to dive in while you are in this area.<\/p>\n

\nArea of 700.35 hectares was originally designated as a conservation by the Decree No.112 of the Ministry of Forestry \/ Kpts-II \/ 1985, then on 12 October 1993 due to the resources and potential of Sangiang, later converted into the Nature Marine Park which covering an area of 1,420 hectares and consists of a 720 hectare marine park. Sangiang has a beautiful marine life, amazing underwater views and the waves are relatively calm so often used as a diving and snorkeling paradise. The nickname of \u201cSeven Wonders of Banten\u201d now attached to this island.<\/p>\n
